TWO SEMINARS OF IMPORTANCE
Dear friends,
We are happy to announce you the visit of Chokyong Palga Rinpoche, a renowned Tibetan teacher, a Tulku of the Drougpa Kagyu tradition, to our center. Rinpoche is the eighth reincarnation of a great realized being. He has accomplished the traditional Tulku training, has extensively studied Buddhist philosophy and speaks English fluently. We are joyful that Rinpoche was able include a few days for us in his busy schedule.
The three day course will take place in the Bodhi Path center on the 9th , 10th and 11th of January. The topic that will be given is about
“The Paramita of Transcendental Wisdom” as it is referred to in the Bodhicharia-avatara text by Shantideva. These teachings are talking about the essence of the mind and will be combined with Shamata meditation, the bases for attaining this realization. You will receive further details soon.
In addition we would like to preannounce the ‘’Four Days Intensive Shamata Meditation Course’’ with Lama Mariangela, that will take place in our center From the 25th to the 28th of March. This Seminar is appropriate for those who wish to have a deeper understanding about the meaning of authentic meditation practice and so lay the solid foundation for their spiritual practice.
The necessary preparation for this meditation course are the two seminars that will take place in the center and given by Lama Mariangela on the 23rd and 24 of January 2010 ‘’Shamata- Vipassana’’ and on the 13th and 14th of March
“View Meditation and Action”.
